My great grandmother was Caroline's sister Elizabeth she was married to John Wilson. One of their children Mary was my grandmother and one of her sons Cyril was my father. I would be very interested to have more details of your link to Thomas Hardy to update my Ancestry tree.

Your story sounds similar to mine. So we could be related then Eric. Caroline was my great grandmother and she had a son called Frederick, who was my grandfather. Frederick had three daughters and a son, and one of the daughters (Margery) was my mother. So we are similar, but just substituting male and female links.
